How did you get started in fashion? I love the fantasy aspect of fashion, it’s the ability to transform the wearer and the way that can make clothing come alive.

What was your first job in fashion? While I was studying I worked in retail at Scanlan and Theodore – it’s still one of my favourite local labels. I started in magazines as a fashion assistant and worked my way through different roles to find myself the fashion editor.

Best locations? City of Havana, Cuba

Any tips for newcomers? Start saving – as a stylist working with beautiful things you will want to buy it all!

Favourite way to relax?
Catching up with friends and family.

Food? The Nag’s Head Hotel near my house in Glebe; it’s been there since the 1860s and is really low-key. Love Supreme in Paddington is brilliant for an easy dinner and Café Roma in Kings Cross is great for late night gnocchi.

Drink? I got hooked on sugary mojitos in Cuba and now it’s my drink of choice!

Inspiration? I think Australian fashion designers are some of the hardest working in the world and I really admire their passion and dedication.
